“After speaking to the careers advisors at school and attending an open day at BCoT I decided to enrol on this course. I chose to study at BCoT because it was close to my home and the course covered everything that I wanted to learn about which includes how computing is used in business as well as how to use new software applications.

“I was surprised to find I was the only girl on this course but it has not been a problem. I have really enjoyed myself thanks to the other students who make me feel very welcome and include me in their activities.

“My lecturers are very supportive and always happy to help when I need it. “After working really hard on the course I was awarded ‘Top Student of the Year’ which I was very proud of. It just shows that if you persevere you can achieve great things.

“The course is great preparation for work and has motivated me to study further. After completing this course I want to enrol on the BTEC First Diploma in Media. My ambition is to become a games designer or animator.”
