Studying in the UK will be exciting and rewarding if you join the right college, concentrate on your work and have an enjoyable social life. BCoT has the staff and experience and Basingstoke the location to help you make the most of your stay in the UK.
You will have a personal tutor during your course at BCoT. He or she will discuss any issues, course details or general work enquiries with you. Our teaching staff have industrial and professional experience, giving them an enthusiasm for their
specialist subject and in depth knowledge.
You must be 16 years of age or over to study at BCoT.
Most BCoT students are young men and women who come to college after finishing school at the age of 16. They usually stay for two or three years to complete their qualifications. Many go on to university but many also find work in the prosperous local economy.
The average class size at BCoT is 14 students. For the Engineering Academy the maximum class size is 12.

Lessons take place between 8.30 am and 4.30 pm. Each lesson is one hour long. For a BTEC National Diploma course with English language teaching you will have a lesson timetable of X hours each week. For the Engineering Academy with English language teaching you will have a timetable of X hours each week.
Students on full-time English courses will have 18 hours of English as a Foreign Language plus a tutorial.
All students will have private-study periods on their timetable during which they can work in the College’s Learning Resources Centre.
We will also do our best to find you work experience related to your course. This is optional but will provide a really good introduction to the UK and its people. You must have a good standard of English to take part in the work experience programme.
