Description

This course is aimed at those who wish to gain the basic skills in bookkeeping and accounts, following the Level 1 Bookkeeping and Accounts of the City & Guilds Examinations Institute.

Course Content

Subjects covered include:

Check documentation and calculation of sales tax, trade discount , settlement discount, prices etc
Completion of day books and post transactions
Transfer to ledgers
Two and three column cash book transactions and postings
Bank reconciliator
Petty cash
Initial trial balance

Entry Requirements

Good basic numeracy and literacy skills. An interview with the course tutor is required.

Method of Assessment

1½ hour examination.
